Why we do it

At nine years old was the first time I climbed a tree, my uncle wasn’t too fond of heights and asked me if I could go up there and cut down poison ivy, eager to make my uncle proud I climb the tree and took a blade to it, that’s when I realized how. much I loved climbing trees. Growing into a young man I had my first conversation with a well-known arborist in Dallas Texas, known as Paul Weatherford. Paul taught me the in and outs of becoming an arborists and hired me as a groundsman. After one year as a groundsman, Paul trained me to be a climber, Five years into my career with Paul he retired. I went on to landed a position as a Climber working with my cousins small company for an additional four years. The remainder of my employment I spent working for Martinez Tree service in Texas and my brothers company Knockout Tree Services also in Texas, Working with these companies gave me a different outlook on tree services. Rolando was only fluent in Spanish, so relied on me to socialize with customers and land jobs. Our main source of income was door-to-door knocking that allowed me to get comfortable in speaking to customers and providing them with knowledge that a lot of people didn’t realize about their trees. Eventually, this led to college where I studied arboriculture. I felt like the classes were easy because it was something that I loved and I had a passion for. This allowed me to truly understand the skills I was taught and learning more ways to maintain the life span of our trees as well as being safe when climbing. I’m proud to say because of my knowledge and my experience in the field I’m the very best at what I do. I went on to opening my own business in December 2021 when I moved to Colorado. It has been a success and the biggest blessing. My respect for nature and my understanding of the importance that our trees provide for the environment is what sets me aside from your average arborist. My focus is tree health, making your trees have a long and healthy sustainable life span. To me this is not just a job. This is not just a paycheck. This is what I love to do. I'm forever able to learn and grow in this profession and I wouldn't want this any other way. Take care of nature and nature will take care of you.
